This weekend was another one for the books. Just know, if we ever go camping its always Adam's idea to go, not mine. As much as I hesitate to go, I always end up having a great time with my boys. Adam was opting to take the boys on his own, so I could relax at home. Suddenly, pictures flashed in my head of my babies running around without shoes, dirty mouths and noses, all while still having a great time, of course. I couldn't let that happen, so I quickly organized the food and supplies and off we went.
It's not the first time we've gone to Mt. Diablo State Park in Danville, it has beautiful scenery and is only 30 minutes away from our home. A lot of people from this area are unaware that this place is right in our backyard, which is why I wanted to post it here in case you all want to take a day trip. It's totally worth it because they have a really cool attraction called Rock City. It's an area with giant boulders stacked together that make it so exciting for everyone to climb on. There are also many trails throughout the park to explore at whatever pace you'd like. This time around, we did a little of the Summit Trail and the Trail Through Time. They were less than a mile long, but it took us about an hour to walk because it requires a minimal amount of hiking. The boys loved it and we were surprised that not once did Judah ask for "uppie."
