This year we took Asael to Legoland for his birthday in October. It was something he had been wanting to do thanks to the commercials. We kept it a surprise and he found out as we were driving into the parking lot. He and Judah were so excited. Adam found a 3 day pass from Costco thinking we would go back the next few days. However, we were able to do just about everything in one day. We did return the following day and the park was closed (Tuesday), so I would make sure you check their calendar for open dates before committing to a 3 day pass. The aquarium was open so we went inside for about half an hour. It's really not all that great. I would skip it next time and just do the water park and rides.
We started out the day with a few rides and around 11 am we went to the water park. We all enjoyed it so much because it was something for everyone. We were able to spend 2-3 hours inside the water park and it gave us a lot of time to do it all. The rest of the day we spent it getting on rides they were tall enough to get on. We definitely want to go back and get on the other rides when they are both a bit taller.
Tips:
1. If you are traveling and debating whether or not to take a stroller, I would suggest renting one from the park. We got the double stroller and it was so convenient because they kept getting tired and took breaks.
2. Take lots of snacks to munch on through out the day. It'll save you some money.
3. The water park has lockers so make sure to take all your necessities.
4. You gotta try the cinnamon apple fries. They are delish!
Another day trip we took during our SoCal vacation was visiting Joshua Tree National Park, click here to read!
